How insurance billing works
Verify your coverage
When you call to book, provide your insurance information. We'll verify your coverage and eligibility for medical transportation.
Obtain authorization
If required, we'll help obtain prior authorization from your insurance provider. This ensures the trip is approved before transport.
Complete your trip
We provide your transportation service. You may need to sign a trip manifest confirming the service was provided.
Direct billing
We bill your insurance directly using standard forms (CMS-1500 for paper, 837P for electronic). You receive an explanation of benefits showing coverage.
Patient responsibility
You're responsible for any co-pays, deductibles, or non-covered portions as determined by your insurance plan.
Medicare coverage
When does Medicare cover medical transportation?
Medicare Part B may cover non-emergency medical transportation when:
- •Transportation is medically necessary
